I asked Jon if he could make me a custom lefty. He said he could make me my dream guitar and started asking questions about frets, scale and woods. Since I didn’t have clue about those things, I left it for him to decide. Turns out, I got my dream guitar, an Old Black inspired lefty dream guitar. When I first got my Shub guitar, my first response was that it was “too good”. It played really well, it looked pretty, the tonal response was even, it stayed in tune and it’s acoustically loud. Now, when I’ve used it for a while, and have become used to its high quality, I like it more and more. No flaws, but plenty of character.
